Shipping Policy

If you have special instructions or requirements for shipping your order please contact us before you complete your order or leave any helpful information that could be required in the “special instructions” field on the checkout page. This can be an instruction of where and when to leave an item other than the delivery address provided or to call or contact a preferred individual to assist in final inspection and acceptance of your goods.

When completing your order, please provide the best details allowing for quick contact, this is usually a mobile phone number. Either one of the Big Red Fencing Team or the freight carriers can notify you of any changes or assistance required in the fastest delivery of your goods.

    • During checkout we leave you with the option of providing only the minimum amount of information required to deliver your order. We do however encourage you to leave any non-required contact details that might assist in quickly addressing any issues that may arise during final delivery.
    • We take your privacy very seriously and your details will never be used for anything other than fulfilling your order. For more info on how and why we use your contact information please view our Privacy Policy

If your order is urgent please check with us first on availability of stock. Our products are listed on multiple online platforms there can sometimes be in misalignment with real time stock numbers. We urge you to contact us with any concerns, unusual requirements or queries about getting the right stock in time for your important project.

Shipping Costs & Freight Quotes

Unless otherwise stated all freight is quoted and charged at cost price (no handling fees or extras are added) via our shipping platforms database. Pricing is calculated by cart size (the items in your shopping cart) in relation to your delivery address postcode.

We do not use location software in our store so a simple initial step is required to obtain a freight quote or estimated delivery time frame. Only a delivery postcode is required and once entered the freight pricing will dynamically update as you add and remove products from your cart.

To obtain enable dynamic freight quotes or display an estimated delivery time:

  1. Add 1 or more products to your cart
  2. View your shopping cart by clicking on the link or my cart symbol
  3. On the My Cart Page enter the postcode of your preferred “ship to” address by clicking change address link. This will enable the website to check the freight providers database and display the cost of shipping on your selected items.
    • Logged in members and returning customers will automatically have updated freight prices whenever they add items to their cart as the system is aware of their preferred “ship to” postcode.
    • Members and return customers (subscribed to sales and promotion emails) may also have access to freight discounts, free shipping and freight promotions as announced through subscribed contact channels and social media accounts.

Estimated Delivery Time Frames

Please allow up to 10 business days for all orders to be processed and dispatched. Standard delivery times apply to all non express orders. We use Australia Post, Star Track, Couriers Please and TNT (Fed Ex) as our main carriers. Please check with our individual carriers for estimated delivery times to your local area.

Please refer to the instructions outlined in the above section “Shipping Cost & Freight Quotes” to obtain an estimated “on road” time frame for delivery.

If you have urgent or special requirements for shipment, please contact us as soon as possible to see how we can help you out.

Payment methods like Bank Transfer, Money Order & Cheque will delay shipment until funds are cleared.

Preferred Carrier

For reliability, tracking integration and service area coverage we generally use Australia’s leading postal services including Australia Post, Star Track, Couriers Please and TNT (Fed Ex).

For orders beyond the capabilities of Australia Post’s weight and size restrictions, the choice of carrier is primarily at the discretion of Big Red Fencing. We have many years of experience in shipping electric fence goods all over Australia and the Pacific.  Our choice of carriers is focused on shipping your order to you for the best price, tracking, time frame and condition with minimal fuss. We are completely flexible in discussing alternative or pre-arranged shipping options but we do not organise or book third party freight carriers under any other accounts other than our own. Please call or contact us for weights and size dimensions of your order if you wish to arrange your own collection via your preferred carrier.
